aegent.dev/org documentation

org is where you keep your notes and tasks, and where your agents keep them too. It has the power of Org mode, in plain Markdown files, and any agent that speaks MCP can plug into it with limits you set.

Start here

  • Getting started: add your first task, organise it and mark it done; learn about projects and access when needed.
  • Connect your agent: Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, in one line each.
  • Migrate with your agent: your agent moves your things over from Todoist, Notion, Things or Org files, with a dry run first and undo after.

Using org

  • Tasks and workflow: organise, schedule and complete tasks, with optional agent work and review.
  • aegent Markdown: the file format, including the mapping from Org mode.
  • Keyboard: the shortcuts, and the Default, Vim and Org/Emacs keymaps.
  • Recipes: Apple Shortcuts, Android, calendar feeds, email-in and the bookmarklet.

Tools

  • The CLI: ae in your terminal, with folder sync, tangling and a local MCP server.
  • Desktop for Linux: the app, with a global capture hotkey.

For developers

  • Agent guide: how agents are expected to work in org.
  • API overview: authentication, errors, rate limits, idempotency and ETags.
  • Webhooks: events, and verifying signatures.
  • API reference: every endpoint, generated from the OpenAPI document.
